2024 Armada Versus 2025 Armada
The all-new Nissan Armada has taken the third-generation Nissan flagship to new heights when compared to the previous generation, giving buyers more capability than ever before. When comparing the 2024 and 2025 model years, customers can see that not only does the new Armada feature a completely fresh exterior and interior design, but also more space, and quite a bit more under the skin that’s not visible to the naked eye. Â
A Larger Overall ExteriorÂ
When it comes to overall size, the latest Armada is a decent bit bigger than the outgoing model. While both vehicles share the same 121.1-inch wheelbase, the 2025 Nissan Armada is 0.7-inch longer overall, 3.4 inches wider (with the mirrors folded), between 0.8 and 2.2 inches taller (depending on trim level), and has an extra 0.2-0.7 inch of ground clearance at 9.6 and 9.9, again, depending on the trim level. Â
A New Engine with a Healthy Amount of Power and TorqueÂ
One of the biggest differences between the 2024 and 2025 models is the introduction of a new engine. Out is the 5.6-liter V-8 that produced 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, and in is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that puts out 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. So, a modest bump in power, but a giant leap in torque. Unlike some luxury turbocharged motors, the 2025 Armada is able to run on regular 87 octane fuel. Â
More Interior Volume for More People and StuffÂ
While the engine will provide a noticeable difference to drivers, they will also appreciate the interior cargo space. Nissan says that space behind the third row has increased by 24% to 20.4 cubic-feet, up from 16.5 in the 2024 Armada. When the third-row seats are folded, the new 2025 Armada has 56.3 cubic-feet of space and 97.1 cubic-feet when all rows behind the front seats are folded down. This is an increase of 6.4 and 1.7 cubic-feet over the previous generation. Third-row legroom is now at adult-levels of space with 34.5 inches versus 28.4 inches for the previous model. Â
Better Infotainment ScreensÂ
Both the 2024 and 2025 Armada feature a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, however, the 2025 model adds an extra 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster display. Pro-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve trim levels come with a 14.3-inch display as the main infotainment screen. Â
Hands-Free DrivingÂ
The 2025 Nissan Armada now features ProPilot Assist, which uses Intelligent Cruise Control to keep the SUV centered in its lane and ensure a safe distance from the vehicles in front. This system is standard on SV and Pro-4X trims. SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve can add ProPilot Assist 2.1, which further allows drivers to take their hands off the wheel on certain roads and let the Armada handle those duties, as well as braking and accelerating.Â
Safety Is StandardÂ
This newest generation Nissan Armada also features amazing standard safety technology with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Automatic Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, plus Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, and Intelligent Lane Intervention.Â
