Forsberg Edition Nissan Frontier Debuts At the Chicago Auto Show

Nissan of Rochester is pleased to inform you that last February’s Chicago Auto Show revealed a special limited-edition package you can add to your new or recent model Frontier. The package is inspired by the modified Forsberg Racing Frontier that won its class in last year’s NORRA (National Off-Road Racing Association) 500 race. 

The Forsberg Edition Package

The Frontier Forsberg Edition package consists of several NISMO Off-Road aftermarket parts similar to those the Forsberg outfitted its truck for 500 miles of competition in the Baja region of Mexico. The package includes these NISMO parts:

• 17-inch Axis Beadlock wheels
• 265/70/R17 Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires
• Forged upper control arms
• Off-road high-performance shocks
• Rock sliders
• Cat-back exhaust
• Roof rack with integrated LED lighting
• Forsberg Racing decals and a Forsberg Racing Limited Edition badge

The Forsberg Edition package will have an MSRP of $9,999 and will be available at Nissan of Rochester’s parts department in the fall of 2024. The package can be installed by our service department. It is available for any newly purchased 2022 or newer Crew Cab Frontier model. 

Inspired by Victory

Forsberg Racing’s own competition truck was outfitted with a similar set of NISMO Off-Road parts as well as some additional competition-specific features to prepare for the NORRA 500. However, much of the truck remained stock as it competed in the Stock Production category. Chris Forsberg and Yokohama teammate Leticia Bufoni entered the truck in the 2023 NORRA 500 last July and took home a category first place. Besides obvious driving skills, their success demonstrates the durability of the Frontier and the capability of NISMO Off-Road products.

“Our championship win at the NORRA 500 was a testament to the capabilities of the Nissan Frontier with NISMO Off Road parts and Yokohama Geolandar tires,” said Forsberg. “We took a stock truck outfitted with NISMO Off Road parts and drove it from the shop in Southern California to the event, raced across the Baja desert for 500 miles, and drove it back home to the shop without an issue. It’s thrilling to know that more drivers will be able to experience a taste of the rugged performance that propelled our success in the NORRA 500.”

Cool Package for a Capable Truck

The Frontier was redesigned in 2022 and remains one of the few models in its class equipped with a V6 engine. The model line features a choice of King Cab / long bed or a Crew Cab combined with either a short or long bed. PRO-X and PRO4X models are off-road focused and new for 2024 is a Hardbody Edition that recalls its Hardbody ancestors of the mid-to-late 80s with a 1-1.5-inch lift, sport bar, tri-theme wheels, and unique graphics.

The Forsberg package won’t be available until this fall, but Nissan’s exciting Frontier line is available for you at Nissan of Rochester.
