Nissan of Rochester is proud to announce that Cars.com named three Nissan models to its 2024 Best Value New Cars list. Nissan is no stranger to this list, as this is the second year in a row that the Sentra and Kicks have been honored with this accolade.

The annual Best Value New Cars list recognizes the vehicles Cars.com considers as having the best value for their price. Based on Cars.com surveys, the vehicles are evaluated on their median list price, annual fuel costs, standard feature content, and the cost of options that consumers generally desire.  In short, they look for the models that “truly offer the best bang for consumers’ buck.”

Cars.com then selects three vehicles each from seven categories (compact car, subcompact SUV, compact SUV, compact pickup, midsize pickup, full-size pickup, EV) and names both the model line and trim level they found to be the best value for the price. This year’s winning  Nissan models and their categories were:

  • 2024 Kicks S – Subcompact SUV
  • 2024 Frontier King Cab S 4×2 – Midsize Pickup
  • 2024 Sentra S – Compact Car

Cars.com also named the 2024 Versa SV an honorable mention in the Compact Car category. It was a winner in this category for 2023.

“Consumers are paying attention to their wallets this year. Those who want to get the most bang for their buck for a subcompact SUV or midsize pickup should look at the Nissan Kicks and Frontier,” said Stef Schrader, News Editor at Cars.com. “The Kicks has a spacious interior and a ton of inexpensive but fun customization options, and the Frontier is a really well-rounded pickup that’s user-friendly in all scenarios.”

The mid-size pickup category has heated up significantly with redesigned models from several manufacturers, so it is particularly impressive that Cars.com selected the Frontier from that category. The Frontier was described as a “right-sized” pickup with a distinct design, impressive capability, and thoughtful convenience features. Also remarkable is its standard 310-horsepower, 3.8-liter direct-injection V6 engine in a category where V-6 engines are increasingly difficult to find. The 2024 Nissan Frontier has a starting MSRP4 of $30,510.

The 2024 Sentra was given new exterior styling closely resembling the larger Altima model. All Sentra models come standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360. At the same time, the Sentra S and SV grades return EPA fuel city/highway/combined mpg of 30/40/34 without the complexity of a hybrid drivetrain. The Sentra remains very affordable, with an MSRP of $21,180.
