Nissan Ready For New Formula E Season

Since 2018, Nissan has enjoyed racing success in Formula E, which aims to showcase fun racing with fully electric powertrains. This year marks ten seasons for Formula E as a whole. The start of the race sees the series make a stop at the Mexico City E-Prix, which has been on the calendar every year since season 2. At 7,381 feet above sea level, the teams have a unique challenge for both the cars and the drivers. 

Drivers

This season marks the second for Sacha Fenestraz and the third for Oliver Rowland, who was with the team during seasons 5 and 7. 

A Message From The Team Principal

When asked about this new season, Tommaso Volpe, Managing Director and Team Principal, Nissan Formula E Team, said: “I’m feeling good heading into Season 10, we’ve been hard at work in the off-season bringing new features and upgrades to the car to address our main weaknesses from last year. Looking forward to Mexico, it’s a track that has suited our car historically so we’re targeting a strong performance. If we can ensure we perfect our race management and extract the most pace possible from the Nissan e-4ORCE 04, while building on our experience and positives from our last race here, I believe we can begin the season with a good result.”

A recent study showed that the Nissan Formula E team is a fan favorite at the Mexico City race. The first Nissan production plant in Mexico opened in 1966 and has built more than 14 million cars and over 15 million engines.
