The 2025 Nissan Versa Is the Last New Car You Can Buy for Under $20,000
When it comes to affordable transportation, no one does it better than Nissan. The 2025 Nissan Versa is a car for almost anyone’s budget. Sadly, cars these days, along with everything else, feel so pricey, with so much just feeling out of reach for the average buyer. However, Nissan has made sure that the new Versa keeps affordability, usability, and amenities at the top of their list for customers looking for their next car.
Nissan Takes Pride in Offering Great Affordable Cars
With its sub-$20,000 base price, the Versa is the most affordable car for sale in America in 2025, followed by the all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks as another of the country’s least expensive cars for sale. The Japanese automaker believes wholeheartedly in giving customers great cars that don’t break the bank, especially if you’re someone looking to buy their first car or if you are older and on a budget.
A Lot of Car for A Little Bit of Money
The latest subcompact Nissan has a base MSRP that starts from $18,330 and comes equipped as standard with a manual transmission, which is getting increasingly rare in a new car. The Versa is available in S, SV, and SR trims, with the top-of-the-line SR priced from $22,330. All models have a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder that produces 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. While that may not seem like a lot, the engine in the Versa makes it great for around-town driving and achieving efficient fuel economy. According to the EPA, the Versa gets 27 mpg city and 35 mpg highway, when equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Xtronic automatic Versa achieves 32 mpg city and 40 on the highway.
Standard Features
Even though the Versa comes in at such a low price, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a lot going for it. The base 2025 Versa S comes standard with Bluetooth audio streaming right from your phone, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, LED headlights, and daytime running lights. While Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are optional on the S, they are standard on the mid-grade SV, which has a starting price of $21,630, as is an 8-inch infotainment system. Every model also comes with Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Automatic Braking, and High Beam Assist. SV and SR trims add Rear Cross Traffic Alert and class-exclusive Blind Spot Warning, with the SR getting class-exclusive Intelligent Cruise Control.
Free Oil Changes!
Even better for everyone’s wallet, Nissan is offering three free oil changes for the first two years of ownership, or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. That’s a savings of at least a few hundred dollars, meaning more money for other important things in your life. The 2025 Nissan Versa is available now at Dick Smith Nissan of Rochester.
