What’s New on the Nissan Rogue
To say that Nissan’s Rogue SUV has been a success would be an understatement. It sold over a quarter of a million models in 2023. That makes it both Nissan’s and Nissan of Rochester’s best-selling model. It is also the 8th best-selling model in the U.S. and the fifth best-selling model that isn’t a full-size pickup. It is also on a bit of a roll, with 2023 sales up over 45% from the previous year. With its current success, you might think that Nissan wouldn’t want to change a thing. Instead, they gave the model a significant update. Read on to learn how Nissan plans to improve upon success.
Same Body, New Grille
The most noticeable change on the Rogue is its new face. The thick chrome grille frame is gone, resulting in a larger V-motion grille with horizontal slats extending to the body on either side. The taillight elements are new, and the badging has a satin finish. There are also all-new 18- and 19-inch wheel designs. The exterior cladding on the Platinum flagship model changes from matte to gloss-black. The changes all add up to a more refined appearance.
SV and Platinum Cabin Upgrades
Inside, the S and SV models carry over with little change, but it is another story for the SL and Platinum models. Most noticeably, a 12.3-inch center touchscreen replaces the previous 9-inch screen. Behind the big screen is a new Google Built-in operating system that includes Google apps such as Google Maps and the Google Assistant voice system, enabling you to use these apps without needing a smartphone. If you have a Google account, it can also automatically access useful information such as your address and other points of interest saved in your Google Maps. If you prefer to use Apple CarPlay or AndroidAuto, that option is still available on all Rogue models and wirelessly on SV and Platinum models. You may want to place your smartphone on the standard wireless charging pad available on those upper-level grades.
Enhanced Connection
NissanConnect® Services now has a three-year free trial subscription instead of the previous six-month period. In addition, an enhanced version of the MyNISSAN app launches with the 2024 Rogues that adds the ability for drivers to set climate control, heated seats, and heated steering wheel (if equipped) settings when using remote start. Vehicle owners can also create additional profiles in the app for other vehicle users to access MyNISSAN functions.
The 2024 Nissan Rogue model will arrive early in the 2024 calendar year. If they are not in inventory by the time you read this, simply ask anyone in the Nissan of Rochester Sales Staff to inform you when they become available.
