Performance
Standard on the all 2025 Kicks models is a 2.0-liter inline-four engine rated for 141 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. It is coupled to the newest generation of Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission. The complete powertrain delivers confident acceleration with a more responsive transmission and the engine’s strong low- and mid-range torque.
All 2025 Kicks models is offered with optional Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. This provides additional confidence and control in many weather conditions and road surfaces.
Drive modes are available, including a “Snow” mode that adjusts the logic of the all-wheel-drive and vehicle dynamic control systems with tuning specifically intended for slippery surfaces. Yaw control using targeted brake application helps further ensure that the 2025 Kicks stays on the driver’s intended line when cornering in snow or ice.
As an added benefit when navigating rough roads or snow, Kicks boasts a ground clearance of 8.4 inches. This enables the Kicks to get through uneven surfaces with ease while keeping stable on smoother ones.
Exterior
The 2025 Nissan Kicks makes a strong impression with its bold and expressive design. The wide stance and fenders give way to a more rounded, protected cabin. Strong fenders and a distinctive boxiness define the lower half of the vehicle, compared to the cleaner upper body.
The rear end of the 2025 Kicks is equally striking. It features a subtle roof spoiler, and full-width LED taillights that divide the liftgate in two and wrap around into combination lights on the flared rear fenders.
It also comes down to the details. The 2025 Kicks design was also influenced by sneaker culture. There are plenty of details, such as the rocker panel trim, that may remind you of the soles of the coolest sneakers around. The available two-tone paint with contrasting roof color also takes inspiration from sneakers and athletic shoes.
Interior
Inside, the 2025 Kicks has an immediately modern and airy look. Think of it as a cocoon that is inviting, spacious, and comfortable.
In front of the driver is a new three-spoke steering wheel with tactile controls and a flat bottom. The center console offers space for life’s essentials with two cupholders designed around fitting a 30-ounce coffee tumbler and an enclosed storage compartment. Bottle holders in the doors are large enough to fit a 32-ounce tumbler.
The 2025 Kicks SR uses sleek, touch-capacitive switches to operate the automatic climate control. Red stitching also defines our top-of-the line sporty model.
The available powered panoramic moonroof brings additional light and airiness into the cabin. It features distinct buttons to open the glass or to operate the power shade, simplifying operation for drivers or passengers. A new-generation, thinner design means the moonroof intrudes less into headroom, with a new slide design that reduces wind noise.
Both rows of seats use Nissan’s Zero Gravity seating design, which help distribute weight and pressure across the occupants’ bodies. These are designed for a more comfortable seating position to help reduce fatigue. The softer, more supportive design improves comfort and reduces the tendency for backseat passengers’ hips to slide down uncomfortably on longer journeys.
In turn, interior room has increased from the previous generation model by giving occupants more room by increasing shoulder and knee room. That also translates into a larger cargo space. Front-wheel drive models have available up to 30 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. That is expanded up to 60 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. You also get additional space in the rear with a small hidden storage underneath the cargo floor.
If you need even more space for luggage and shopping, you can adjust the flexible luggage board for taller items. Just slide the cargo floor up or down into place. No matter what height your luggage board is at, the 2025 Nissan Kicks has a low liftover height of under 28 inches for ease of loading and unloading items, such as strollers, heavy pieces of luggage, or your band’s gear.
Technology
New for the 2025 Kicks is a flat panel that is across the dashboard. The panel houses two screens. One is for the instrument meter, and the other is for the infotainment system. The standard instrument meter measures 7 inches, while Kicks SR upgrades to an even more striking 12.3-inch unit with two display modes: A more traditional Classic and a more feature-rich Enhanced view.
The infotainment touchscreen on the SV and SR measure out to 12.3-inches. Available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be wirelessly connected to this screen. Everyone is kept connected in the 2025 Kicks. Devices can be plugged in through USB Type-C ports, as well as a wireless charging pad in the center console.
If you select the 2025 Kicks SR Premium Package, you will get the 10-speaker Bose Personal Plus audio system. This system delivers crisp, lifelike sound throughout the cabin.
Safety
The 2025 Kicks offers an extensive array of driver assistance and safety features developed to keep you and everyone inside and around you safe and secure. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard across all models. Features for the Safery Shield 360 include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Assist.
In addition, 2025 Kicks S and SV has Intelligent Cruise Control as standard. The 2025 Kicks SR adds more with ProPILOT Assist. This advanced system adds steering assistance to help keep the driver centered in their lane, making highway driving simpler.
Other standard convenience features on the 2025 Kicks include Easy-Fill Tire Alert, a function that makes topping up tire air pressure simpler. Rear Door Alert can notify the driver about potentially forgotten items. Intelligent Driver Alertness can warn if the driver’s behavior suggests they may be fatigued. The 2025 Kicks SR also adds the Intelligent Around View Monitor. This screen inside of the infotainment system offers a virtual 360-degree, bird’s-eye camera view around the vehicle to simplify parking, avoiding curbs in the drive-through lane and other low-speed maneuvers.
