This sedan is Nissan’s most affordable model, with a starting MSRP of just $16,680. It offers a stylish exterior and impressive fuel economy. The sedan can seat five and has the same styling as higher sedan models in the Nissan model lineup. There are three grades from which to choose, and on the base grade, the choice of a manual transmission remains on the S grade. New for 2025, all Versa model purchases include the Nissan Maintenance Care program, with up to three pre-paid oil changes for two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Performance

The Versa model line is powered by a 1.6-liter inline-4, which generates 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is available on the entry-level S grade. Available on the S and standard on the SV and SR is an Xtronic continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). All Versa trim levels come as front-wheel-drive (FWD) vehicles. The estimated fuel economy rating for the manual transmission version is 27 mpg city and 35 mpg highway. The CVT version makes an impressive 32 mpg city and 40 mpg highway, making it one of the most efficient non-electrified cars on the road today.

The 2025 Nissan Versa outshines its competitors with improved precision, accurate steering, and faithful brake-pedal feedback. It stands as proof that even a small, affordable car can be built to a high standard and satisfy the driver.

Exterior

The styling matches that of the Sentra and Optima sedans to the point that it takes more than a glance to tell them apart. New for 2025, the S and SV grades are equipped with LED headlights and have LED signature lighting elements. For a more distinctive appearance, Versa SR features a dark chrome front grille with SR badging, 17-inch alloy wheels, black-painted heated exterior mirrors, and a rear spoiler.

Interior

The sedan is designed to seat four adults in reasonable comfort and five when needed. At 44.5 inches, it features best-in-class front legroom. Tall drivers are accommodated by best-in-class front headroom and legroom. The trunk offers 15 cubic feet of space, and you can maximize cargo space by folding down the 60/40 split rear seat in the upper two trim levels. Nissan’s Zero Gravity front seats were inspired by space-age technology and are designed to provide support and reduce fatigue on long trips.

Though one of the most affordable models in the U.S., you still enjoy features such as standard air conditioning, power windows and door locks, Bluetooth Hands-free phone system, review monitor, and more.

Standard dark gray cloth interiors give the Versa finesse and set off the available exterior color options. The SV trim offers a chambray interior color, while the SR trim offers sporty accents to the seats and the interior as a whole. Heated front seats are also an option on the SV and standard on SR trim levels.

Technology

The base model S comes equipped with many advantageous standard technology features. A 7-inch center infotainment touchscreen is standard. Compatibility with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ is available on the S grade and standard on SV and SR. SR models upgrade to an 8-inch screen. Included in the system is the Siri® Eyes Free/Google Assistant voice recognition system.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Nissan Versa highlights its impressive list of standard safety features by earning an Overall 5-star rating from NHTSA. The standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 system includes several safety technologies, including Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, Rear Automatic Braking (RAB) mitigation, and Lane Departure Warning.
